• It is a substrate in the formation of xanthonoids in " Hypericum androsaemum " by benzophenone synthase, condensing a molecule of benzoyl-CoA with three malonyl-CoA, yielding to 2, 4, 6-trihydroxybenzophenone.
• There are 627 flora species identified by Serra and Carvalho ( 1989 ) as under pressure and considered endangered, which included two medicinal plants : tutsan ( " Hypericum androsaemum " ) and sundew ( " Drosera rotundifolia " ).
• There are 64 relict plant species, 6 of which cannot be found elsewhere in the European Union  Strandzhan oak, Caucasian whortleberry, Colchic holly, twin-flowered daphne ( " Daphne pontica " ), tutsan ( " Hypericum androsaemum " ) and " H . calycinum ".
